Ride to Salt Lake, Sunday 2 May 2010

When we woke up early Sunday morning to leave Bryce Canyon and Cannonville, we arose to a new snow fall and blowing wind!! The road to the major highway was covered and a little scary for us so we did not hook-up until we hit the main hwy through the Dixie Forest on our way to Salt Lake City. We have decided that Utah is a beautiful state with lots to see and do. We hope you will enjoy its splendor as well and realize yet again what a beautiful country we are honored to live in.

  1. Ladies - we're just back from our week in Colombia (will send you a link) and we're catching up on your adventure. Utah was my first Air Force assignment and your pics are bringing back nice memories of a wonderful state. SLC has changed quite a bit since I was there (1980-83) especially with their Olympic prep. The tour of Temple square was very interesting and if you have any chance to hear the choir, don't miss it! If you need to stock up, Hill AFB is a big base with (last I heard) a large commissary. The base is about 30 minutes north of SLC, right off the Highway. Have a great time in the beautiful country. There used to be a neat restaurant in an old jail in SLC - may be fun if it still exists!
